To launch the new Volkswagen Amarok we created an exciting digital and social campaign, centred around a real-world off-road challenge event.
Our concept uses contour lines to amplify the off-road nature of the Amarok, providing a seamless continuity to the design throughout the page.
Overlapping content adds depth, which moves this design further away from the more conventional pages on the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles site, giving it a new and unique feel.
Carefully placed content blocks provide a well balanced compositional flow of the page, flexing the Volkswagen UK guidelines.
Animation was used to delight and surprise viewers, and to embellish pre-existing assets. We used a combination of layered videos and blend modes in the code to rebuild the scenes from scratch. Having multiple layers of content allowed for parallax animation based on the cursor position.
As always, with a high volume of traffic hitting the site from mobile, we made sure users would have an enjoyable experience, with quick and easy access to the content they needed.
